Why hand-nailing?
Hand-nailing guarantees proper nail placement on each shingle. This procedure allows us to meet all manufacturer's specifications while at the same time greatly increasing the quality of your roof. Hand-nailing also provides equal nail penetrationin both the shingle and the decking while fast pnuematic nail guns don't always provide for even nail penetration throughout the entire roof. With pnuematic nail guns, if the drive is light the nail could stick up through the shingle. If the drive is heavy the nail could be driven through the shingle. Even nail penetration makes for a longer roof life as well as a smoother looking finish. Fast pnuematic nail guns may be okay 90% of the time; but are you willing to sacrifice the other 10% of your roof? Hand nails have a larger head offering more coverage on the shingle. Don't sacrifice quality for speed.
